We’re committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent people with spinal cord injuries and mobility disabilities from living independently and fully participating in their communities. Whether it’s accessibility, housing, equipment, or financial challenges—we work to identify, reduce, and remove the obstacles that stand in the way.

On an individual level, we may advocate on your behalf by writing support letters to landlords, insurance providers, legal teams, and others who influence your access to services. If you’ve been denied income assistance or Canada Pension Plan Disability benefits, we can help with appeal applications and ensure your voice is heard.

At a systems level, we push for long-term change. We stay up to date on policy shifts, share important updates through social media, and take part in focus groups, webinars, and public consultations. We also connect our members with researchers and decision-makers working to make a more inclusive future.

We believe in the principle of “nothing about us, without us,” ensuring that the voices of those who are directly affected are central to the conversations that shape policies and services.
